VREDE EN LUST – Artisan Malbec 2017 The Vrede en Lust Artisan Range is an exclusive range carefully handcrafted wine.

For this range the winemaker is encouraged to experiment with different styles and winemaking techniques using small batches of site-specific grapes.

Winemaker’s Notes The grapes are all carefully hand-picked at optimal ripeness. The grapes are all destemmed and crushed and fermentation took place for 12-14 days. During fermentation 3 x pump overs per day was done to ensure optimal color stability and flavor extraction. The wines are aged in French oak barrels for 16-18 months.

Tasting Notes This wine delivers a fragrant Bouquet layered with mulberry and sweet plum. The palet is soft with a luxurious moth-feel. Beautiful intensity with a long and smooth finish.
